Joli Table of Contents Pro

Joli Table of Contents Pro costs $149 once for 1 site. The annual plan costs $49 a year, so the lifetime license pays for itself after 37 months. Over five years you save $96 compared with renewing every year.

It is worth it if you publish long guides and want readers to jump straight to the part they need, with a sticky or floating table of contents and a reading progress bar. A table of contents stays on every long article for as long as the site exists, so a one-time license makes more sense than a renewal every year, especially if you plan to keep the site for several years.

Two points speak against buying in a hurry. The vendor page mentions support and updates but no duration, and the lifetime license costs a multiple of one year. If you run several blogs, the tiers for 3, 10 and unlimited sites in the table lower the price per site. Test the free version first to see whether its layout fits your theme.

The free Joli Table of Contents on wordpress.org runs on 7,000+ sites. It builds a table of contents from your headings with jump links, which helps readers scan long posts and can earn sitelinks in Google.

Joli Table of Contents Pro adds the sticky and floating variants, a slide out panel, a reading progress bar, multi column layouts and premium themes. You decide per device where the table shows, and a Gutenberg block controls which headings are included.

A sticky table of contents stays visible while the reader scrolls, so long guides remain easy to navigate on desktop and mobile. Because the plugin works on every long article you will ever publish, it is a tool you keep for years.

WPJoli sells it as a yearly plan or as a one-off lifetime payment. The lifetime license avoids the yearly renewal, but the vendor page does not state for how long updates and support are included, so ask if that matters to you.

You install the Pro plugin, activate the license and choose a theme and the sticky or floating mode. Then set which heading levels to include, check the result on a long post on mobile and desktop and adjust the device visibility. The refund window is 14 days.
